Maize mitts… or a variation of

When I was recently looking through my hand-spun yarn stash, I picked out some fiber dyed by Three Waters Farms that I spun into a lovely 2 ply. I believe I have close to 800 or so yards between 6 skeins. The fiber is a mixture of Polwarth wool and silk and let me tell…

Yarn Cakes

I don’t usually wind my skeins into cakes but I have the capability to do so and after finishing up the Polwarth/Silk fiber in color way New House (dyed by the fabulous Three Waters Farm), I liked it in skeins but I thought why not wind them into cakes? These will go live for sale…

Here is a taste of colorway New House spun up on my Sidekick. It is my latest indulgence from Three Waters Farm. I absolutely love the colors…the pic doesn’t do any justice. I still am on the fence with regards to how I should ply this. I bought 8 ounces of this colorway…I’d love to…

From the actual calculated amount of yds. So, it was actually just about 190 yds. initially. I’d call it worsted…

Flowering Quince

Here is my latest hand spun. It is a beautiful BFL/Merino/Alpaca/Silk mix in colorways Flowering Quince and Girlfriends hand dyed by Three Waters Farm. I had fun spinning and plying this. I used the Navajo or chain plying method for this 3 ply. It yields approx. 60 yds. and is available for sale in my…

Thin Spin

I’m spinning up my First Bloom colorway fiber from Three Waters Farm and it is 85% Polwarth 15% Tussah Silk and I love it! It is such a dream to spin with. This by far has to be my favorite fiber combo to spin. I’m getting it really thin, which I like, and so far…
