New hand-dyes

Here are some yarns and roving that I hand-dyed this afternoon. The yarns/roving are still drying so I hope to have nicer pictures when they are dry. I will have names figured out soon as well. I love how the colors turned out! Well, tomorrow starts me back to work. My vacation is over but…

Field of Greens

Here is my skeined hand-dyed alpaca in a colorway I call “Field of Greens”. I hope to have this up in my Etsy shop once I have my hand-spun skeined and ready.

My first hand dyed attempt

Here is my first attempt at a kettle dyed yarn using food coloring. Overall, I am pleased. Next time I would probably have a more saturated color though by adding more coloring. A lovely green yarn just in time for St. Patty’s.
