Aside from Summer, Fall has to be my most favorite season of the year. I love the crisp air, Football, the leaves, the wardrobe (hello, sweater weather!) and most of all, the knits that come with it.
Take this little guy….I made this pumpkin on my Singer toy knitting machine that I got last year for under $25. I also have an Addi Kingsize and another off-brand medium size knitting machine that I purchased off of Amazon, but I found the small knitting machine made these perfectly sized tubes that I could turn into small pumpkins. Obviously the bigger knitting machines such as the Addi Kingsize would be great to make larger pumpkins.
Here is a link to the YouTube video by Angie & Britt that I used if you want to give it a shot. If you don’t have one of these little knitting machines, you could very well just knit up a tube on circular needles or double pointed needles and skip to the part of the video that shows you how to stuff the pumpkin and make its little rumples (is that a word??). Also, for the little stem, I used this YouTube video by Knit Studio and basically made an i-cord.
You *almost* can’t tell which pumpkins I made vs. which pumpkins I bought!
If you prefer o purchase these already made, I have these available for sale in my Etsy shop.
