I’m pretty sure we’ve all seen these knitted and crochet poufs everywhere…Target, Marshall’s, Walmart…you get the idea. Some of them actually come with a hefty price tag while others are more reasonably priced but smaller in size.
If you are like me and have been really wanting to make one…look no further. I’ve been on the hunt for a pattern to make one of these for a while now and was so excited when I came across Make and Do Crew’s crocheted version. It is a free pattern and basically comprised of 6 crocheted sampler squares. The pattern is split into two parts and you can find them here: Part 1 and Part 2.
The pattern is great and chooses stitches that provide great texture. The only times I got tripped up was on the trickier bobble-type stitches.
Another part that was a bit tricky, and not related to the pattern itself, was deciding on what to stuff it with. Ultimately, I decided to stuff it with a cut up king size mattress pad that I purchased at JoAnn Fabrics using a 60% off coupon and some quilt batting. I could have really stuffed it and made it super firm but I was trying to keep this as budget friendly as possible.
Overall, I’m extremely pleased with how it turned out!
