When Cosy posted that she was looking for vendors for this year’s Indie Knit & Spin, I jumped at the chance- and so glad that I did!
I began prepping for the show in September and pretty much it came down to the wire! I was up until 2 am the night before and boy, the bags under my eyes the day of the show were prevalent!
Mom was such a trooper! She hung in there from about 9:30 am when we arrived through about 4:30 pm when we left. She & I donned some homemade iKNITiatives long sleeved tees which was the product of my 2 am shenanigans the night before.
For the show, I brought all of my current inventory along with 2 new bases – my Plush worsted weight 100% superwash merino and my Lush fingering weight 80% superwash merino / 10% cashmere /10% nylon mix. Both of which did well – especially the Lush.
Plush worsted is 218 yds. while Lush is 600 yds.!!
Plush is offered at $16 each and Lush at $30 each. I had a few customers who couldn’t believe that I was only selling the Lush at $30 but yes, it’s very true. One customer even bought 5!! Thank you said customer! 🙂
Lush therefore sold quickly with only one remaining that sold via my Etsy shop very soon after it was posted on my Instagram.
Lush will definitely be on re-order and in my next shop update (after Christmas).
I had such a successful first show and can’t wait to start adding additional shows to vend at in the future.
A big thanks to all of my customers from the show that supported iKNITiatives!
