Turqs & Sapphires: A brief dyeing lesson

Here is my newly dyed colorway Turqs & Sapphires in my sock base Cushy which yields 437 yds. of 75% SW Merino & 25% Nylon. It is a real super soft and squishy yarn.

The colorway is repeatable and at the moment, I have one available in my Etsy shop until my wholesale shipment comes in at the end of the month.

I love the depth of these colors which was created by over-dyeing with 3 different shades. I had the yarn twisted into a hank. After the first shade was absorbed or exhausted, I unlooped the hank and I just added the next layer of color to the pot with a splash of vinegar and repeated the process for a total of 3 times.

I love the end result.

Happy knitting & Have a great day!
