Dare I say, I will be spinning my own hand-dyed 100% Merino Top this evening.
I have no name for it but it reminds me of a lush deep green rain forest with deep colored jewel-toned flora.
It is approx. 3.9 ounces and so soft to touch.
Merino Top is one of my favorites to spin. A true delight.
I decided on spinning this as a bulky woolen and will then 2 ply.
This may prove to be difficult as I’ve been spinning worsted.
I wish I would have had the opportunity to get down to SSK in Nashville last weekend as I would have definitely taken Jacey Bogg’s spinning class. My knitter friends on Instagram who went said it was a great class.
For now, I’ll attempt You Tube and various Internet searches to see if I can find a good video on how to spin consistently thick.
Wish me luck! And, if you have any suggestions as to where I should look for good woolen spinning techniques, please share 🙂
Thanks & goodnight everyone.
So pretty! Can’t wait to see it spun up!
Thanks, Leah!! 🙂
