I am totally addicted to Craftsy right now. Aside from their free mini classes, I’ve also signed up for a few of their paid classes. The class that I’m really into at the moment is Spinning Dyed Fibers with Felicia Lo.
I have nothing but great things to say about this class. Felicia is a great instructor in that she knows how to spend just the right amount of time on each topic. She’s also very knowledgeable and demonstrates basic color theory knowledge and different spinning/plying techniques.
I enjoyed watching Felicia demonstrate the Navajo or chain plying and shortly after watching her, I was able to do it myself. I will post the pic of my first Navajo ply this evening. It’s a bit “artsy” but overall pretty good for my first shot.
Right now, Craftsy has a Spring sale going on for a few days with up to 75% off. So, if you’ve been itching to take your favorite class, now may be the time to get to it.
On a side note, I recently purchased the knitting pattern writing class for I believe around $30 and now it is $14.99!!
I am hoping they put a fiber dyeing class up soon and I hope Felicia teaches it.
